In this project I explore the intersection of past and present by repurposing images from old National Geographic magazines handed down to me from my grandparents. By employing innovative camera techniques, light boxes, mirrors, and double exposures, I transform historical photographs into new visuals that provoke dialogue about current affairs. Each composition serves as a reflection on how past events resonate in contemporary society, prompting viewers to reconsider their perceptions of history and its impact on today’s world. Through this creative process, I aim to illustrate the cyclical nature of time and the enduring relevance of our collective experiences.
